Chapter 10

v. 1
Paul expresses his earnest desire for the salvation of the Jews,

vv. 2-4
The Jews have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge, they sought salvation by works, and not by faith in Christ.

v. 5
The righteousness which is of the law described.

vv. 6-10
That which is by faith described.

vv. 11-13
He that believes and calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved,

vv. 14-16
What is necessaary to salvation–believing, hearing, preaching,, a Divine mission, the Gospeland obedience to its precepts.

v. 17
Faiith comes by hearing.

vv. 18-20
The universal spread of the Gospel predicted by the prophets.

v. 21
The ingratitude and disobedience of the Israelites.
